- Our Business Market Niche -
Small Business Start-ups
The investments we work with are in the small business category, and include start-ups that have a significant growth potential. They constitute equity initially in private companies, and so included in the planning must be a strategy for you to exit the investment in the future. This often involves the company going public, or being acquired by a public company, to allow you to sell your investment and realize the benefit in cash.

Business and Investment Regulation
There is no large government-regulate financial sector serving this market, which we refer to as private equity tax planning. The individual aspects of this sector are serviced by accountants and business lawyers; it is governed by corporate law and is regulated by the BC Securities Commission in BC. The tools and incentives are available to all small business owners; they, however are often unaware of these and reliant on business accountants whose primary focus is on accounting for the activities of the business and using deductions and features to minimize corporate taxes, but not on a higher-level strategy for generating Income Tax benefits for its individual shareholders.

Investment Return Potential
The greatest return potential is to start in this private equity market, with your investment mostly covered through Income Tax reduction, in a business that grows into the larger more regulated investment sector.

Investment Risk
The business risk in this sector is of course higher. Your risk, however after recovering much or all of your investment cost in Income Tax reduction, is nil or very small.
